INSTITUTIONAL PROFILE

Lithuanian Police School is the primary institution responsible for the training and professional development of police officers in Lithuania.
We provide initial and continuous training for law enforcement personnel and play a key role in strengthening operational readiness, tactical skills and international cooperation.

Our activities include:

Training of police cadets (~300 annually) and police officers (~8000 annually)
Organisation of international training events and exchanges
Participation in EU-funded projects and cross-border initiatives (20+ projects over the past 5 years)

LPS acts as the essential bridge between technological innovation and field application. We fulfill the mandatory practitioner involvement requirement in Horizon Europe calls by providing:
Curriculum Development: Expertise in turning research results into official police training programmes.
Pilot Testing Environment: Specialized facilities for testing drones, sensors, and communication tools.
Operational Validation: Mid-term and final assessments of project outcomes by experienced officers.
Uptake and Scaling: Strategic support for the actual deployment of solutions in law enforcement institutions.

EXPERIENCE IN INTERNATIONAL PROJECTS

We are actively involved in international cooperation and training initiatives, including:
Erasmus+ mobility and training programmes (KA1)
Projects focused on crisis preparedness and response (Interreg, ISF, BAFF, BMVI)
Development of innovative training approaches (Erasmus+ KA2)
Cross-border cooperation activities (Interreg, ISF)

We work with international partners to strengthen law enforcement capacity and readiness.

HORIZON-CL3-2027-01-DRS-04: Large-scale cross-border disaster simulations (VR/AR training).
HORIZON-CL3-2026-01-SSRI-01: Validation of disruptive technological innovations.
Open to other FCT, DRS, and BM topics where training and testing are core components.
