A Memorable Time and Getting to Know Colleagues at Police Academy of the Berlin Police

From 26 March to 1 April trainers of Professional Tactics Division of Lithuanian Police School: Darius, Danius, Giedrius and Rasa visited Police Academy of the Berlin Police in Germany to take part in mobility activities under the EU-funded Erasmus+ project No 2022-1-LT01-KA121-VET-000059685 “Development of Professional Skills of Lithuanian Police School Cadets and Staff”. During such traineeships, police officers not only exchange expert knowledge and gain useful experience, but also make international acquaintances.

LPM trainers got to know the structure of Police Academy of the Berlin Police, the impressive size of the academy grounds, the modern training infrastructure, the professional tactics campus, the special vehicle stopping area, and one of the most state-of-the-art indoor firing range.

During the Erasmus+ mobility, LPM police officers also had the opportunity to observe the training sessions and the work of the trainers, as well as to participate in the training process together with the officers of Police Academy of the Berlin Police.

“The Police Department with its impressive building, the many different activities and the people who work there, the technical equipment unit with its fully trained officers, the water police who patrol the rivers and canals that surround the whole city, have made us realise how much the specifics of our work, our capabilities and our capacities differ,” Danius Venslauskas, Chief Specialist of Professional Tactics Division of LPM shared his impressions.

LPM police officers who took part in the traineeship are delighted with their colleagues from Police Academy of the Berlin Police, who presented a rich and useful programme and paid special attention throughout the visit.
